Sometimes the daily news can drag us down, but this is really Good News: Lawyers Defending American Democracy (LDAD) is a coalition of lawyers united in the defense of our democracy. Members of the legal community nationwide, LDAD works to defend our Constitution and the values on which our democracy depends. They are lawyers holding lawyers accountable to their oath and to their ethical obligations.
This has been an extraordinarily tumultuous year. Relentless assaults on democracy, the rule of law, and our justice system have tested the very foundations of our constitutional government. In response, Lawyers Defending American Democracy intensified our efforts, as more fully described in our 2025 Year-End Report, Meeting the Moment in an Unprecedented Year.
